Game 1,
A classic pitching duel between King Hernandez and
Clayton Kershaw. The only score in the game came when Thames hit a
sacrifice fly down the right field line to score Ackley. Both pitchers
went the distance Kershaw struck out 8 batters and surrendered 3 hits
while Hernandez gave up no runs on 5 hits and 7 punch outs. Mariners
1....Dodgers 0.
Game 2,
Vargas and Capuano squared off in
the second game. Both teams were scoreless until the bottom of the
seventh inning when Ramirez lined a homerun over the low wall down the
left field line. Los Angeles plated some insurance in the 8th when
Victorino drove in League with a hit. Capuano struck out 10 batters in
7.1 innings. The save went to League. Dodgers 2....Mariners 1.
Game 3,
The
Mariner offense continued to struggle as Harang pitched 7 innings of no
run, 3 hit ball against Seattle. The Dodgers got their first run when
Settle third basemen Kyle Seager threw the ball away to plate a gift.
Andre Ethier and A.J Ellis smacked solo blasts to aid Harang in the
game. Three relievers came if for the Dodgers to nail down the second
shutout in a row...For the series, the Mariner offense only managed one
run....Dodgers 6...Mariners 0.
