Cueto vs Samardzija

Cincy scored 10 runs over the final 2 innings to win this series opener going away. Heading into the 8th the Reds held a 3-0 lead that they gained in the top of the first. Cueto was fantastic and didn't yield a run until he tired in the 8th. Todd Frazier knocked in 5 of Cincy's 13 runs.

Reds 5, Cubs 1 (15 inn)
It took 8 Reds pitchers and 15 innings of play for the boys from the Queen city to finally dispatch the Cubbies. Chicago rode a 1st inning Rizzo solo blast until the 6th when the Reds tied it up on a Ludwick homer. Neither team could score again until Brandon Phillips hit a walk off granny off of Corpas.
Reds win series 2-0
