Both teams exchanged 2 spots in the first to cancel each other out. The Halos followed it up with 3 more huge runs in the top of the 3rd to go up 5-3. Neither team would score again. Prince Albert Pujols went 5 for 5 with 2 RBI's and 2 doubles earning every bit of his $24 million.
GAME 2 - Angel Stadium
Villanueva vs Greinke
Angels 4, Blue Jays 2
Toronto was nursing a 2-1 lead well into the bottom of the 8th when Janssen gave up a 3 run job to none other than the Prince. Ernesto Frieri pitched a perfect 9th in relief to get the save and close out the series. Blue Jays skipper Mickey Boone was not amused with the outcome. In his post game interview he was quoted as saying he "got hosed up the you know what" when his reliever came in stone cold and gave up the big fly to the Prince.
