Boston scored 2 runs in the 7th to take a 1 run lead. The ever so clutch Dustin Pedroia hit a 2 run shot with 2 out off of Strop. Baltimore had taken the lead in the 6th with an Adam Jones blast. Buchholz went 7 strong innings and gave up just 2 runs. Atchison pitched a perfect 7 pitch 8th inning and Aceves shut the door on the O's in the 9th.

GAME 2 - Camden Yards
Lester vs Chen
Orioles 6, Red Sox 3
Boston drew first blood with 2 quick runs in the 2nd, but the O's answered right back with a 5 run outburst in the bottom of the frame to chase Jon Lester from the bump. Adam Jones and Nick Markakis had 3 hit / 2 RBI days to force a decisive game 3.

GAME 3 - Camden Yards
Doubront vs Tillman
Orioles 3, Red Sox 2
Adam Jones, who hit .500 in this series, started it off with a 2 run shot in the bottom of the first. Boston got on the board with a solo run in the 3rd off a sac fly. Chris Davis got one back with one swing in the bottom of the 4th to make it 3-1. Ciriaco scored on a Gomez ground out in the sixth to narrow Baltimore's lead to 1. Fine bullpen work from Matusz and Steve Johnson (2 1/3 scoreless innings), who notched the save for the clincher
Baltimore wins series 2-1
